Blut Aus Nord po raz czternasty. Sylwetki Francuzów
przedstawiać chyba nie trzeba, gdyż ciężko szukać na scenie bardziej
rozpoznawalnego i zasłużonego dla dysonansowego black metalu zespołu. Można bez
kozery powiedzieć, że dla tej bardziej nowoczesnej wersji gatunku są oni tym,
czym Darkthrone dla klasycznej drugiej fali. Zatem od razu do brzegu. Pytanie
zasadnicze – czy czternasty krążek tego projektu może nadal zaskakiwać a jednocześnie
podążać obranym dawno temu kursem? Odpowiedź w przypadku „Disharmonium –
Undreamable Abysses” jest jedna: „oczy-kurwa-wiście”! Te czterdzieści sześć
minut podzielonych na siedem kompozycji ciężko nawet nazwać muzyką. To
chorobowy stan umysłu. Pełen obłąkanych wizji, niepokojących majaków… Blut Aus
Nord niby za pomocą klasycznych dla siebie środków potrafią zbudować tak
niesamowicie przytłaczający, nierealny klimat, że jego opisanie zdaje się
zadaniem awykonalnym. To, w jaki sposób dźwiękowe obrazy malowane są tu
przeplatającymi się, falującymi narkotycznie ścieżkami gitar, jak konsekwentnie
utrzymywany jest nastrój napięcia i niepewności, jak genialnie wplatane są
wszechobecne smaczki, to jest mistrzostwo świata. Ta muzyka jest tak bogata, że
przewijającymi się przez nią pomysłami można by obdarować przynajmniej kilka
innych albumów. Płynie ona zazwyczaj niespiesznie i miesza w głowie niczym Baba
Jaga w swoim parującym kotle, zatruwa umysł i zniewala ciało. A za sposób w
jaki użyte są na tym albumie wokale sam Szatan bije w piekle brawo. Pojawiające
się w tle szepty, śpiewy, pomruki czy kobiece zawodzenia sprowadzają całość w
kompletnie inny wymiar, gdzie jawa miesza się ze snem a pojęcie czasu nie
istnieje. Jeśli miałbym odnieść się do któregoś z poprzednich wydawnictw Blut
Aus Nord, to w pierwszej chwili przychodzą mi na myśl skojarzenia z trylogią
777, choć o wiele bardziej pokręconą i urozmaiconą. Słucham tego albumu już
–nasty raz i nadal znajduję na nim coś, co wcześniej przeoczyłem. Wiem, że w
przypadku Blut Aus Nord będą to mocne słowa, ale uważam, że „Disharmonium –
Undreamable Abysses” to jedna z ich najlepszych płyt, i mam na myśli ścisły
top. Panowie nie po raz pierwszy udowadniają, że nauczyciel może być tylko
jeden i bynajmniej nie powiedział jeszcze ostatniego słowa. Nagraj mi, kurwa, w
tym roku lepszy album w gatunku, to zmienię dożywotnio nicka na
„mysoulbelongstojesus”. I pisząc to jestem jakoś wyjątkowo spokojny…

album number fourteen. The profiles of the French doesn’t need presentation, as
it’s hard to find a more recognizable and well-deserved band on dissonant black
metal stage. It's fair to say that to this more modern version of the genre they
are what Darkthrone is to the classic second wave. So let’s get right to the
point. The main question is: can the fourteenth album of this project still
surprise and at the same time follow the course chosen a long time ago? The
answer with "Disharmonium - Undreamable Abysses" can be only one:
"of-fucking-course"! These forty-six minutes, divided into seven
compositions, are even hard to call it music. It's a morbid state of mind. Full
of insane visions, disturbing dreams ... Blut Aus Nord, using their classic
means, can build such an incredibly overwhelming, unreal atmosphere that
describing it seems an impossible task. How the sound images are painted here
with interwoven, narcotic guitars tracks, how the mood of tension and
uncertainty is consistently maintained, how the omnipresent details are
brilliantly interwoven is the world championship. This music is so rich that
with the ideas appearing in it at least a few other albums could be gifted. It
usually flows slowly and messes with your head like the besom in her steaming
cauldron, poisons the mind and enslaves the body. And for the way the vocals
are used on this album, Satan himself applauds in hell. The whispers, chants,
murmurs or female wailings appearing in the background bring the whole thing
into a completely different dimension, where reality twists itself with dreams and
the concept of time doesn’t exist. If I were to refer to any of the previous
Blut Aus Nord releases, at first I think of associations with the 777 trilogy, but
even much more twisted and varied. I've been listening to this album for like
fifteenth time, and I still find something on it that I had missed before. I
know that in the case of Blut Aus Nord my words may sound strong, but I think
that "Disharmonium - Undreamable Abysses" is one of their best
albums, and I mean strict top. It is not the first time that the gentlemen
prove that there can be only one teacher and he hasn’t said the last word yet.
Record me a fucking better album in the genre this year and I'll change my nickname to
"mysoulbelongstojesus". And as I’m writing it, I am somehow extremely
calm ...
