Ludzie mają w życiu różnego rodzaju fobie. Mniej lub
bardziej dziwne. Jedną z, chyba, najbardziej powszechnych jest nyktofobia,
czyli strach przed ciemnością. Może dlatego, że sama ciemność jest w sumie
niczym… albo wszystkim. Bo jeśli nic w niej widzimy, to nie wiemy, czy czasem
jednak coś się w niej się coś kryje. A jeśli coś się kryje, to może to być
cokolwiek, co nam wyobraźnia podpowie. Taka myśli naszła mnie w nawiązaniu do
nowego wydawnictwa Aesthetic Death, wytwórni słynącej zresztą z przedstawiania
światu muzyki niecodziennej, mrocznej, awangardowej. Kolaboracja Demonologist z
Vainoras jest czymś na zasadzie muzycznego przedstawienia. Albo przerażającego
snu na jawie. Nie wiem, wszystkiego co dziwne, nie do końca zrozumiałe,
pobudzające zmysły na podobnej zasadzie co wspomniana wcześniej ciemność. Na
„Plantea Arcanvs” mamy czterdzieści minut muzyki, gatunkowo rozpiętej między
doom metalem a jazzem. I zupełnie nieistotne jest, że została ona podzielona na
jedenaście części, gdyż równie dobrze mógłby to być jeden, długi utwór. Utwór
przebogaty w czary i zaklęcia. Głównie te z rodzaju trujących, bynajmniej nie
poprawiających słuchaczowi zdrowia psychicznego. Bardziej wprowadzających w
pewnego rodzaju trans, lewitację, podczas której dręczą nas negatywne uczucia. Sporo
na tym albumie melodii teatralnych, albo będących tłem dla przedziwnego,
upiornego happeningu. Klawisze, saksofon, pianino, przeróżne efekty i sample
(no choćby dźwięki telefonu, dziwne stuki czy trzaski), chorowite wokale,
zarówno męskie jak i żeńskie… Za pomocą tych środków tworzony jest tutaj klimat
swoistej paranoi, i pogłębiane odczucie totalnego zagubienia i dezorientacji.
Bo twórczość Deamonologosts, do pary z Vainoras ma chyba na celu mamić i pobudzać, albo nawet wykrzywiać wyobraźnię,
niczym wspomniana przeze mnie na początku ciemność. To chora, dziwna muzyka,
przeznaczona raczej dla nielicznych. Teatr w całkowitej ciemności? Tak! Polecam
zatem tym, którzy słyszą głosy i widzą rzeczy, a do psychiatry chodzą
regularnie. Zdrowi mogą sobie odpuścić.

People have
various kinds of phobias in their lives. More or less strange. One of the most
common is probably nyctophobia, fear of
the dark. Perhaps this is because darkness itself is nothing... or everything.
If we can't see anything in it, we don't know if something is hiding there or
not. And if something is, it could be anything our imagination tells us. This
thought came to me in relation to the new release from Aesthetic Death, a label
famous for presenting the world unusual,
dark, avant-garde music. The collaboration between Demonologist and Vainoras is
something like a musical performance. Or a terrifying waking dream. I don't
know… everything that is strange, not entirely understandable, stimulating the
senses in a similar way to the forementioned darkness mentioned. “Plantea
Arcanvs” offers forty minutes of sound, ranging in genre from doom metal to
jazz. It is completely irrelevant that it has been divided into eleven parts,
as it could just as well be one long track. A track rich in spells and
incantations. Mainly of the poisonous kind, by no means improving the
listener's mental health. More likely to induce a kind of trance, levitation,
during which we are tormented by negative feelings. There are a lot of
theatrical melodies on this album, or melodies that serve as a backdrop for a
strange, ghostly happening. Keyboards, saxophone, piano, various effects and
samples (such as telephone sounds, strange knocks and cracks), sickly vocals,
both male and female... These instruments are used to create an atmosphere of
paranoia and deepen the feeling of total loss and confusion. Because the work
of Deamonologosts / Vainoras seems to be aimed at enticing and stimulating, or
even distorting the imagination, like the darkness I have already mentioned
twice. It is sick, strange music, intended for the few. Theater in complete
darkness? Yes! I recommend it to those who hear voices and see things, and who
visit a psychiatrist regularly. Healthy people can give it a pass.
