Żeby się zaraz ktoś nie dopierdolił, że się
uwzięliśmy na Chile. Bo faktycznie shub niggurath poleciał ostatnio garścią
recek blackmetalowych z tego pięknego kraju, a ja dziś biorę na tapetę Chaos
Perversion. No cóż, nie moja wina, tak wyszło i chuj. Pominąć kilku słów na
temat autorów „Putrefied Against the Emanation” po prostu nie mogę, bo to
materiał, który nie powinien przejść bez echa. Co prawda jest to tylko
niespełna dwadzieścia minut muzyki, lecz nawet tyle starczyło by mi ostro
skopać dupę a następnie przeczołgać kilka razy po podłodze. Panowie smolą
konkretnie mieszając w praktycznie równych proporcjach elementy death i
blackmetalowe. Poza podkręconym tempem w którym gitarzyści atakują na zmianę
czarnymi tremolo i śmiertelnym riffowaniem znajdziemy tu też kilka kruszących
skały zwolnień, dających chwilę na otarcie czoła. Bo jest się przy czym spocić,
gdyż nagrania te są niesamowicie gęste i otulone bagiennym, bulgoczącym od nadmiaru siarki brzmieniem, mogącym
kierować skojarzenia bardziej w kierunku Antypodów niż Ameryki Południowej. Za
gęstą jak lawa ścianą dźwięku dosłuchać się można na pewno szkoły Portalowej
(choćby w utworze tytułowym) czy Vassaforowej. Nie ma tu zatem łatwych melodii
(ale posłuchajcie zapętlonej harmonii pod koniec „Entangled by the Roots of
Death” i powiedzcie, czy nie słyszycie tu inspiracji genialnymi końcówkami
niektórych albumów Immolation), jest natomiast masa smaczków, które wychodzą
dopiero po dokładnym wsłuchaniu się w poszczególne kompozycje. Przez wspomnianą
kotarę akordów przebija się głęboki growl, który w połączeniu z muzyką sprawia,
iż słuchając tego materiału można poczuć na gardle zaciskający się, lodowaty
dotyk zła. Moc uderzeniowa tej EP-ki jest doprawdy potężna a umiejętność z jaką
Chilijczycy dbają by nie wkradła się tu monotonia to zdecydowanie najwyższa
półka. Nie mogę też zapomnieć o
kończącym krążek outro. Nie pamiętam kiedy ostatni raz autentycznie
podskoczyłem nerwowo oglądając się za siebie. Nie zdradzę szczegółów,
sprawdźcie sami. Być maniakiem gruzu i smoły i przejść obok „Putrefied Against
the Emanation” obojętnie oznacza dla mnie bycie całkowitym ignorantem.
Doskonały, potężny materiał.

Somebody will now get to the fucking
point that we're stuck in Chile. Because actually shub niggurath has recently dropped
a handful of black metal reviews from this beautiful country, and today I'm working
on Chaos Perversion. Well, not my fault, that's how it turned out and shit. I
simply cannot omit a few words about the authors of "Putrefied Against the
Emanation", because it is a material that should not go unnoticed. It is
only less than twenty minutes of music, but quite enough to kick my ass hard
and then crawl me on the floor several times. The gentlemen are specifically
mixing death and black metal elements in practically equal proportions. In
addition to the twisted pace in which the guitarists take turns attacking with
black tremolos and deadly riffing, there are also a few rock-crushing
slowdowns, giving you a moment to rub your forehead. Because there’s a lot to
make you sweat, as these recordings are incredibly dense and wrapped in a
swampy sound that gurgles with an excess of sulfur, which can lead associations
more towards the Antipodes than South America. Behind the lava-dense wall of
sound you can certainly hear the Portal school (say in the title track) or the
Vassafor one. So there are no easy melodies here (but listen to the looped
harmony at the end of "Entangled by the Roots of Death" and tell me
that you can’t hear the brilliant endings of some Immolation albums), but there
are a lot of details that come out only after carefully listening to the
individual compositions. Through the aforementioned curtain of chords there is
a deep growl which, combined with the music, makes you feel an icy touch of
evil on your throat while listening to this material. The striking power of
this EP is really enormous and the skill with which the Chileans make sure that
monotony does not creep in here is by far the highest level. I can't forget
about the ending outro as well. I don't remember the last time I really jumped
nervously looking behind my back. I will not reveal the details, check it out
for yourselves. To be a rubble and tar geek and to pass by "Putrefied
Against the Emanation" indifferently means to me to be a complete
ignorant. Perfect, powerful material.
